Youth

Saint Alphonsus has an active group of junior and senior high youth, led by parish members and experienced youth leaders, Mark and Lisa Petzinger. 

Youth Group Activities − Our youth take on an active role at Saint Alphonsus by helping to plan parish events, participating in youth activities within the Diocese, and completing special projects around the parish.  Specific activities include:

·        Serving in the kitchen during parish get togethers

·        Organizing the annual Easter egg hunt

·        Planning children’s activities for Oktoberfest

·        Attending the Memphis Diocese’s annual Fall Youth Gathering at Chickasaw State Park

·        Organizing fund raisers for youth group activities

·        Attending the annual National Catholic Youth Conference

·        And, much more!

Weekly Meetings − The Jr. and Sr. High youth groups meet weekly in the parish hall.

• Jr. High Youth Group  − Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
• Sr. High Youth Group − Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
