This commission on worship coordinates the Parish Music and scheduling of
the various Liturgical activities and Altar Servers.
Members of the Commission on Worship include:
- Kaleb Batts − Lead Altar Server
- Mike Brower − Music Coordinator
- Sam Catalani − Sacristan
- Edward Carrigan − Assistant Sacristan
Parish Music
− In recent years, St. Alphonsus has installed an elaborate sound
system, including two organs, tower chimes, and a professional
microphone system.
We are currently seeking skilled cantors
and talented vocalists for our choir. If you are interested,
please contact Mike Brower at 475-9633.
Many parishioners serve the parish by becoming involved in the different roles for lay people within Mass. These roles include:
- Lectors
(readers) − Lectors must be Catholics in good standing who are active
members of the parish. Formation and training are provided by
the
diocese and the pastor.
- Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist - Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist must be Catholics in good standing who are
active members of the parish. Formation and training are
provided
by the diocese and the pastor.
- Ushers & Gift Bearers −
Ushers and gift bearers must be active members of the parish. Training is provided
by
the Pastor.
- Altar Servers
− Altar servers are youths who have completed 4th grade PRE, taken
their First Eucharist and are active members of the parish.
Training is
provided by Father John Hourican. To learn about becoming an altar
